The G2460VQ6 24in FreeSync monitor is aimed at gamers who are using an AMD graphics card and want a tear-free gaming experience.
AOC's G2460VQ6 is a budget AMD FreeSync monitor which aims to please gamers thanks to a refresh rate of 75Hz. The 24in full HD display also has flicker-free and has anti-blue light technology, which allows you to game for longer periods of time.
For long hours behind the screen, the G2460VQ6 also features AOC’s advanced Anti-Blue Light technology to reduce eyestrain and increase your viewing comfort, whether you’re role-playing, racing or creating a virtual world. This monitor is compatible with all the graphic cards in the market, but if you are an AMD Radeon user, the G2460VQ6 is compatible with AMD FreeSync technology to eliminate tearing, stuttering and input lag.

The G2460VQ6 is limited by its stand: you can only tilt it forwards by 5 degrees and backwards by 20 degrees. Despite said stand having a thick frame, we found it was quite wobbly, but thankfully the monitor can be mounted on a VESA 100x100mm stand.
On the plus side, we really liked the design, which fit well with AMD’s red color coding. On the right-hand side you’ll find the buttons to control the monitor, which have quick-access to the monitor's input, volume, menu and the ability to cycle through the pre-configured game modes.
We found that Overdrive slightly improved the response time, but found that there was added ghosting when playing fast-paced games. We achieved the best gaming experience with Overdrive completely switched off, where the real-world response time felt slower than the quoted 1ms.
The monitor achieved 100 percent of sRGB’s color space and 78 percent of AdobeRGB’s color space after calibration with our Spyder5Elite.
Since it’s part of AOC’s gaming line-up, the G2460VQ6 also comes with a variety of gaming color profiles, including FPS, RTS and Racing options, plus two generic Gamer modes. Personally, I found all five of them to be far too cool for my liking (cool as in blue, not ‘down with the kids’ kind of cool), and none of them let you mess with the color temperature, either, making them pretty inflexible when it comes to adjusting for color accuracy. Personally, I’d advise sticking with the Standard profile and altering the User color temperature setting to reign in its strong greens, as I did above to get that 97% sRGB figure.
The AOC G2460VQ6 is a great budget gaming monitor, which is mainly aimed at those with AMD cards. We were also impressed by the image quality at this price, and its styling set it apart from other budget monitors.
