If your computer is set up with an AMD graphics card, the AOC G2460PF is an affordable monitor that will hook you up with access to FreeSync. As a result, you’ll enjoy blur-free gaming and stunning clarity, so long as you can get past the sometimes-buggy software.
This AOC monitor is not meant to be a super high-end display. It’s an affordable 144Hz option, and it compliments mid-range gaming rigs perfectly. If you’re sick and tired of manufacturers focusing their efforts on pushing out high-end displays, the AOC G2460PF just might be the perfect monitor to round out your rig.
If you’re looking to step up from a 60Hz monitor, you’re going to be impressed with the picture quality of the AOC G2460PF. An incredibly affordable monitor, it’s equipped with a 144Hz refresh rate, 1ms response time and 1920 x 1080 resolution. The inclusion of FreeSync capabilities offers an even more refined experience, guaranteeing that you’ll never go back to your slow and clunky monitors.

The AOC G2460PF’s price is lower than many other monitors of similar size and capabilities, and this was clearly something that drew the attention of many gamers. Several users expressed their delight, specifying the monitor’s price point and build quality. Though the AOC G2460PF costs less, you wouldn’t know it from the sturdy construction and capable stand. They were also happy with how easy it was to maneuver the screen into the positions they desired.
This monitor is extremely easy to assemble, involving just one tool-free screw to attach the base to the stand. Once built, the G2460PF offers the full suite of adjustment options – it can easily move up and down through 130mm, rotate by 90° into portrait mode and tilt forwards by 5° or backwards by 22°. You can also pivot it left to right (165° in each direction), with the base spinning while the bottom part remains fixed with its rubber padding.
Overall, I was pleased with the performance of the AOC G2460PF. The important thing with any budget monitor is to temper your expectations. In this case, it’s clear that AOC was going for uber-fast motion processing, perhaps at the cost of some color reproduction and viewing angles. In other words, a TN panel will almost never quite live up to the image standards set by IPS panels.
That being said, the colors of this G2460PF were more than satisfactory for all of my gaming needs. It’s the sort of difference you’ll only think about if you have the G2460PF set up right next to a more expensive IPS panel, anyway.

AOC did include their “Flicker-Free Technology” with the G2460PF monitor, which provides more comfortable and healthy long-term viewing by adjusting the monitor’s brightness using their Direct Current backlight system.
The AOC G2460PF is the best entry-level 144Hz monitor, and of top of that, it also supports AMD Freesync. If you want the cheapest 144Hz monitor, then this one is the monitor you should choose, especially if you have a FreeSync compatible AMD GPU.
