MSI has shown off its newest A320M Grenade AM4 motherboard based on AMD's cheaper A320 chipset.
Based on the micro-ATX form-factor and featuring a 5-phase VRM that draws power from a 24-pin ATX and 8-pin EPS power connectors,the MSI A320M GRENADE motherboard has two DDR4 DIMM slots, a single PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slot, two PCI-Express 2.0 x1 slots as well as four SATA 6Gbps ports and 32Gbps M.2 slot. USB connectivity includes four USB 3.0 ports (four on the rear panel, two via headers). Gigabit Ethernet (driven by Realtek RTL8111H controller) and 6-channel HD audio (Realtek ALC887 CODEC), make for the rest of it.
The rest of the features include four USB 3.1 ports, Gigabit Ethernet, 5.1-channel audio and red LED lighting glowing from four corners of the motherboard. Although it is a budget oriented motherboard, MSI decided to include a couple of features like Audio Boost, Turbo M.2, DDR4 Boost, EZ Debug LED and Steel Armor PCIe slot.
That aside, MSI’s A320M Grenade motherboard is still a viable option for gamers who are on a tight budget. Design-wise, the motherboard comes in an all black colour scheme, with a few LED-lit areas as well. It’s worth noting, however, that this motherboard is a micro-ATX motherboard, which means that it’s rather small.
Unfortunately, MSI has not mentioned the date of availability and price of the A320M Grenade motherboard. That said, consumers can at least expect it to be priced within the reach of plenty of PC gamers.Customize and set up your own color scheme with RGB Mystic Light Sync. You can select any of the colors from the palette using the MSI Gaming app for smartphones and desktops to match your personal style. This motherboard features LEDs on the back to create a red glow inside your case. For additional lighting inside, a Mystic Light extension header is on board for controlling optional RGB strips, fans, and other gear, without needing a separate RGB controller. Additionally, Mystic Light Sync can also work with select LED-enabled keyboards and mice.
